The 70th Birthday celebration of Sadguru Mata Amritanandamayi Devi was celebrated in Amrita Vidyalayam, Mysore. The programme started with Ganapathi Homa, followed by Sadguru Paduka pooja by respected Principal Swamini Amma and Akhanda Sri Lalitha Thrisati Kumkuma archana from dawn to dusk by teachers, students and parents.
Students presented cultural programmes like dance, skits based on Amma’s stories, Matru pooja (reverence to mother), and pencil sketch drawing based on Motherhood. Antakshari by teachers based on Motherhood was also sung.
Finally, at the end of the Akhanda Archana, Amma’s bhajans and arathi were performed. Mahaprasadam was distributed to all gathered, and the programme concluded with shanti mantra.
