AMRITA SAMSKRUTHOTSAVA 2019

Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated ‘Samskruthotsava’ on August 17, 2019. More than 400 students from 18 CBSE schools in Mysore participated in the programme. Ashtaka recitation, Amarakosha recitation, Sanskrit speech, Sanskrit bhajan, Subhashitha recitation with meaning, Sanskrit Sambhashana Pradharshanam and many more competitions were conducted. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan won the best performance prize.

The judges for the competitions were Vidushi Smt. Mahalakshmi, Vidushi Smt. Rekha Venkatesh, Vidwan Shri Harsha, Shri Jayram Bhat and Shri Ajith Bhat. The Chief Guest for the programme was Vidwan Dr. Krishna Ganapthi Bhat. He said that the Sanskrit language is a store house of knowledge and the most valuable treasure of the world. Col. Ravi Shirahatti (Retd.) said that Sanskrit is the true symbol of great Indian tradition and thought. Principal Virajamrita Chaithanyaji spoke about the role of the Guru in a disciple’s life. The programme concluded with Shanti Mantra.
